Privacy policy · Report abuseIn Lock In, open Today or Plan and choose Create a Lock. Set the completion deadline first, then the commitment type, start time, and available alarm options. Create as many separate commitments as needed.
Distance and arrival commitments use authorized iPhone location data to verify progress on your device. Custom promises are marked complete manually and are self-reported. Shared social results are currently labeled self-reported because the server does not independently audit GPS evidence.
Open Lock In → Profile → System Access → Enable or Manage Location Access. Confirm the iOS permission prompt. For background GPS verification, your device may require Always authorization. iOS may limit accuracy or background updates, and enabling a permission does not guarantee continuous tracking under every condition.
Confirm the commitment alarm is enabled, check iOS alarm permissions and scheduled times, and restart the app. Alarm behavior depends on supported iOS capabilities and system settings. Never rely on Lock In as your only safety-critical alarm.
Touch and hold an empty Home Screen area, choose Edit → Add Widget, search for Lock In, and pick a size. For Lock Screen widgets, long-press the Lock Screen, choose Customize → Lock Screen → Add Widgets. iOS requires you to place these widgets yourself.
Green means completed by the deadline. Yellow means completed during the permitted late window. Red means the commitment was not verified before the final cutoff. Recovery passes do not erase the original history.
The social backend is being enabled in an upcoming app update. When available, open Community, enter your email, confirm the one-time code, set a username, and invite friends using their usernames. Until activated, Community features may show local-only information.
No exact GPS route or destination coordinates are intended to appear in social posts. Activity sharing uses generic descriptions and result labels. Profile photos and usernames can be visible to other signed-in members if you activate social features.
Open Community → Account → Delete my social account and cloud data when social accounts are active. If you cannot access the app, follow the instructions on the account-deletion page.
